Wilkins Public School, in partnership with Inner West Drama, provide several performing arts options for students.
Lunchtime Drama Club
WAMPA (Wilkins Association of Movement & Performing Arts) established a Drama Club on Thursday lunchtimes in 2014 to provide students with a fun, creative outlet and an environment to develop performance skills. WAMPA exists to offer children and teachers support and encouragement around the performing arts.
Afternoon Classes
Inner West Drama run weekly after-school classes on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday at 3:15-4:15pm onsite. Monday caters for K-2, while Tuesday & Wednesday are K-6. Children are met at 3pm and accompanied to the designated area.
Inner West Drama aims to have fun and foster good team building skills, to enhance creativity and improvisation, to develop stage and presentation skills, to nurture confidence and embrace each unique child.
Holiday Programmes
Inner West Drama also offer a holiday programme in the school hall from 9am-3pm during the first week of each term break and a designated week during the summer holidays. The emphasis is on fun with an end of week performance on stage as the wonderful result.
