Events

School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.

Book Week

Book Week is a special time at our school where we celebrate a love of reading. Students take part in fun activities throughout the week including trasure hunts, colouring competitions and our Book Week parade.

Swimming Carnivals

One of our first events on the calendar each year is our swimming carnival. All students 8 years and older attend a great day of races and fun water activities. Qualifying students then represent the school at zone, regional, and state levels.

Music Performances

Our school ensembles perform in many concerts throughout the year. These include the Festivals of Instrumental Music and Choral Music at the Opera House, and the Primary Proms at the Sydney Town Hall. Performances also take place at the Australian School Band and Orchestra Festival and the Marrickville Backyard Extravanganza. We hold a yearly Music Ensemble Showcase in our school hall for family and friends.
