Wilkins Public School participates in the Ultimo Operational Directorate Public Speaking Competition.
Students from Kindergarten through to Year 6 develop their public speaking skills. They learn about the three elements of public speaking:
From there, they have the opportunity to present both prepared and impromptu speeches within their classrooms. Students from each class can be selected to go through to the Public Speaking Stage finals.
The adjudicators had the unenviable task of selecting one winner per stage to go through to the next level of the competition. In the past, adjudicators were extremely impressed by the high quality of the speeches and as such all our finalists should be very proud of their achievements.
